Welcome to Black Star Resource & Repatriation Center (“we,” “us,” “our”), operated by The Adinkra Group. By accessing or using our website, memberships, and related services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). Please read carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for a membership or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable data protection and payment laws (including GDPR in the EU and the Data Protection Act, 2012, Act 843 in Ghana).

2. Membership Plans & Billing

• Membership Options: Black Star Basic, Legacy Standard, Sankofa Concierge (pricing and features described on our website).
• Billing: Membership fees are billed either monthly or annually in advance. Charges are processed securely via third-party payment providers compliant with PCI DSS and international banking standards.
• Recurring Payments: By subscribing, you authorize recurring billing unless canceled in accordance with Section 4.

3. Use of Services

• Membership grants personal, non-transferable access to resources, courses, calls, community chat, and other benefits.
• You agree not to share login credentials, resell membership benefits, or misuse intellectual property.
• Content and materials remain the property of The Adinkra Group and may not be copied, redistributed, or modified without written permission.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Monthly Memberships

• You may cancel anytime via your account dashboard or by contacting support@blackstarcenter.com.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for unused days.

Annual Memberships

• Annual memberships are prepaid.
• Cancellation within 30 days of purchase: Eligible for a prorated refund of the unused portion, minus a 15% administration fee.
• After 30 days: No refunds. Cancellation prevents automatic renewal.

Sankofa Concierge

• Due to the bespoke nature of services, refund and cancellation terms are set out individually at the time of agreement.

5. Data Protection & Privacy Compliance

• We process personal data in compliance with EU GDPR and Ghana’s Data Protection Act (2012, Act 843).
• Data is collected only for legitimate business purposes (e.g., membership management, billing, and service delivery).
• Members have the right to: access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability.
• We do not sell your data. Transfers outside the EU or Ghana are protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Payment & Security

• All payments are handled securely via trusted third-party providers.
• We do not store sensitive card details on our servers.
• Transactions comply with PCI DSS standards and relevant Ghanaian banking/payment regulations.
• In case of payment disputes, members should first contact us at billing@blackstarcenter.com.

7. Modifications to Services & Pricing

We may update membership features, pricing, or terms. Notice will be provided at least 30 days in advance via email or website update. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

8. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, course materials, and digital resources are protected under copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

9. Limitation of Liability

Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Our maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
• If you are an EU resident, mandatory consumer protections under your local law also apply.
• Disputes will be handled by competent courts in Ghana, unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
